In Chester on Sunday afternoon, a 38-year-old was killed after crashing
into a car at the intersection of routes 94 and 17.
According to police, Joseph F. Becker, of Chester was riding a 2007 black
Yamaha motorcycle when he collided with a gray 2012 Acura operated by
John G. Ledioyt, 68,of Goshen.
Police said that Becker was thrown from the bike, but was still semiconscious
when a witness at the scene called for help. Mobile Life Support Services
took Becker to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill
where he died as a result of his injuries.
There is an ongoing investigation and Lediyot has not been charged in the accident.
