On Friday afternoon in Hurley, NY, two people were injured when the car
they were driving in was struck by another car.
According to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office,Roberto Garcia, 28,
of Fleischmanns was driving a 2006 Nissan with Amanda Conticelli, age
not available, of Brooklyn, on state Route 28 when a 2006 Toyota driven
by Ralph Goneau, 82, of Bearsville, pulled out in front of them while
attempting to enter Route 28 from Van Dale Road.
Garcia and Conteicelli were both taken to Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway
Campus in Kingston where they were treated for injuries that they suffered
as a result of the accident.
Deputies said Goneau was uninjured and received a ticket for failing to
yield the right of way when entering a roadway.
