On Thursday afternoon in Greenwood Lake, a head-on crash that occurred
atop Tuxedo Mountain left both drivers injured.
According to Greenwood Lake Assistant Fire Chief Mike Dunlop, the accident
occurred at about 1:00 p.m. on Route 17A near the intersection of Old
Tuxedo Road. Apparently the speed limit is 45 mph there.
The drivers, a man in his 50s in a Hyundai coupe and a woman in her 40s
in a Ford Mustang, were both taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern
to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
