On Monday afternoon in Kingston, two women were injured in a two-car accident
on Albany Avenue.
According to Kingston police, the collision occurred around 1:00 p.m. when
a southbound 2012 Toyota, driven by Christine Schwab, 50, of Ellenville,
was struck by a 2009 Hyundai, driven by Rebecca Lowe, 34, of High Falls.
Apparently, Lowe failed to yield right of way to Schwab's vehicle while
attempting to make a right hand turn out of the McDonald's parking lot.
Paula Skiff, 61, a passenger in Schwab's vehicle, and Schwab were both
treated at the scene then taken to HealthAlliance Hospital's Broadway
Campus in Kingston. Skiff was treated for complaints of general body pain
and Schwab was treated for complaints of abdominal and pelvic pain.
Lowe was not hurt and no tickets have been issued.
